You can't insert Quicktime movies into PowerPoint for PC using the "insert movie" method, but It is possible to insert a Quicktime player into a PowerPoint slide and have a MOV file play inside its own window. (Although you may well find it easier and more reliable to convert your MOV files to a suitable format.) - converting your files to wmv or mpeg, will be more reliable than trying to make Quicktime movies play. Most movie editing software packages should achieve this. (--but not Windows Movie Maker) - Try Ulead/Corel Video Studio products, - a free trial version is available. Applian Techologies Replay Converter is easy to use. Or upload your file to zamzar.com for a free on-line conversion service. The instructions below are designed for PowerPoint 2007 but apply similarly to earlier versions 1) You need to acces the developer tab on the PowerPoint Ribbon. if the developer tab is not present, click on the "Office Button" - (at the very top left of the PowerPoint screen), select Powerpoint Options and in "Top options for working with PowerPoint" tick "Show developer tab in ribbon" and click ok.
